Every parent has found themselves in the situation when they’ve had to tell their child off for something someone else has done.
This often occurs in the presence of adults. These aforementioned adults play with your child, winding them up to the point that they (the child, that is) starts shrieking wildly and running around like a witch whose clothes are on fire.
So you have to tell your child off, tell them to calm down, to sit down and behave or you’ll start getting really cross, and your child starts crying and yelling and tantrumming.
And that’s when you see that look on the face of the adults when they realise that it’s their fault you are having to tell your child off, and it’s their fault that your child is now a crying ball of snot. And it’s an expression so hard to replicate that it has only been caught on tape once. Remember Guy Goma?
