Famous Saudi businessman Ali Saleh in Uganda for a working visit
KAMPALA – Ali Saleh O Alswayeh, a renowned Saudi businessman and philanthropist, has traveled to Uganda for a two-week working visit. Saleh who was in the company of his son, Prince Alswayeh Abdul Aziz Ali was welcomed by Amb Abby Walusimbi, the senior presidential adviser for diaspora affairs.
According to Walusimbi, Saleh is here to strengthen ties and working relations between Uganda and his country. He will also elaborate ways on how the two countries can work together for their mutual development while strengthening their bilateral relations.
He said Saleh, who owns a conglomerate of businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East worth billions of dollars, will visit the different factories and hold meetings with different government dignitaries.
In his remarks, Saleh thanked the Ugandan government for hosting him and pledged that his visit will be very fruitful for both countries. Saleh is a friend of Uganda who continues to establish multi-million dollar long-term investments in the country. He is currently the trade, tourism and investment envoy for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Middle East and so far the country’s tourism revenue has reached over $30 million per year.
Ali Saleh O Alswayeh is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Ingaz Group of Companies which owns a range of businesses and offers a range of services including overseas recruitment of domestic, home care and professional workers , human resource management, construction, computer systems. and Engineering, Tourism and International Trade.
He plans to invest heavily in agriculture and has a great passion for promoting coffee. He is also passionate about the healthcare industry and plans to invest heavily in digital courses for healthcare trainees, including nurses and midwives. He has investments in Uganda worth around US$5 million. His contributions so far clearly indicate that he has Uganda at heart and has what it takes to advance Uganda’s interests in the Middle East.
In 2018, the Ministry of Labor presented him with an award in recognition of his efforts to provide decent and secure jobs for Ugandan workers in Saudi Arabia, both as a foreign investor in employment and chairman of the Innovations Committee in employment from the Saudi Ministry of Labour. .
Through its partner Ugandan recruitment agencies such as Security Link, Enjaaz, International Employment Linkages and Kaz Masters, among others, over 10,000 Ugandans have been gainfully employed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2016 to date.
