Best business decision: “Obtain my real estate permit. I was exhausted from nonprofit and consulting careers and always had an interest in real estate. I was considering graduate school but didn’t want to go into debt. My parents come from the history of art and town planning; the architecture and the development of the city have always been important to me. Once I graduated, many doors opened and I was able to use my experience in public relations and communications consulting to change careers in my late twenties.
Worst business decision: “I don’t trust my instincts. If you are unhappy with a career path and find yourself at a dead end, it can be terrifying to change careers and start over. Finding my passion, for me commercial real estate and working with my clients, has made me a happier and stronger person, personally and professionally.
