Riverwood Senior Living Hires New Director | Community

Mandi Payne, originally from the Richland County area, graduated from Ithaca High School and began her college career at the University of Wisconsin-Richland by earning an associate’s degree before moving on to UW-Platteville to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a specialization in human services.

She began her career in substance abuse / drug abuse counseling with Green County Social Services, moved to Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice for the County from Green then from Richland, then worked for seven years in health and social services, then in health care with a job in a hospice, as a volunteer coordinator.

Payne went on to train as a certified practical nurse and worked at a qualified nursing facility where she became director of a community residential facility and then director of admissions.

She is passionate about providing excellent care and service to aging and senior populations. Health care is not “a shoe for everyone”. It’s personal and she believes Grace Lutheran Communities and Riverwood Senior Living support this person-centered approach that is so crucial to providing quality care as a Wisconsin Dells / Lake Delton community administrator.
