Uttar Pradesh: Six-Year-Old Daughter of Businessman Raped and Murdered in Etah | Agra News

AGRA: The body of a 6-year-old girl, the daughter of a local clothing trader, was found on Friday night in a vacant lot behind a private hospital in Awagarh area of ​​Etah.
The autopsy conducted by a panel of three doctors revealed that the girl had died of asphyxiation. Based on the injury to her private parts, doctors added that the girl had been sexually assaulted before she was murdered.
Shortly after this horrific incident, residents of Awagarh protested and blocked traffic on the Agra-Etah road for more than 45 minutes. Police have asked protesters to give them two days to investigate the matter. Later that evening, District Magistrate (DM) Ankit Kumar Agarwal and SSP Udai Shanker Singh arrived at the victims’ home and assured family members of swift action against the culprits.
SHO, Awagarh, Vinod Kumar told TOI: “The cause of the murder is not yet known. The girl’s parents have also not charged anyone with the murder. We are reviewing CCTV footage of the area from where the girl disappeared while she was playing outside her house at night.”
Speaking on the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Dhananjay Singh Kushwaha said: “Based on the complaint received from the victim’s father, an FIR has been registered under the rape sections of the IPC. and the murder. Four teams are involved in the investigation. Apart from that, we are working on crucial leads and are confident that the culprit will be arrested very soon.”
